Hey there! I’m Ryon, the accidental architect of a seriously awesome community. Yep, you heard that right, it all started with a simple desire to stretch my legs, get some people together (safety in numbers – right!) and conquer Lion’s Head, a local hiking trail right here in Cape Town. So, I started up a WhatsApp group, tossed out some invites, thinking it would be a one-time hike and then poof, delete. But oh boy, did the universe have other plans!
Turns out, the initial community members, lovingly dubbed #theoriginals, had different ideas. They wanted more adventures, more connections, more social events, more of that mountain magic. And who am I to deny such enthusiasm?
So, I kept the lekker vibes going.
Before I knew it, our little local community wasn’t so little anymore. People from all corners of the globe wanted in on the action. It hit me then – it’s not just about climbing mountains and having socials; it’s about forging bonds, sharing experiences, and spreading lekker vibes.
Now, I’m on a mission to keep those lekker vibes flowing, using this virtual space as a launchpad for real-world connections.
