The Lekker Hike Social Community is a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone to connect locally and explore new experiences together.

We bring together a vibrant mix of internationals and locals, fostering a unique environment where people can collaborate, engage, and learn from each other.

We’re passionate about creating a community where people feel supported and encouraged to be themselves.

Our members love the variety of events we offer, from hikes, festivals, to movie nights, to braais and game nights, and more!

It’s about creating meaningful connections through these shared experiences, not just conversations on WhatsApp.

We are also dedicated to uplifting our local people, environment, and businesses by collaborating with local organizations and supporting initiatives that drive positive change.

During my 2,5 month stay in Cape Town I got to meet so many amazing people due to the Lekker Hike Social community app group Every week there are new hikes organized (diff. levels) and social gatherings. I enjoyed many activities such as sunrise/sunset hikes, cold plunges, drinks/food at Oranjezicht Farm Market, first Thursdays and so much more! The group is incredibly open, warm, and welcoming, which made it perfect for someone like me, who didn’t know anyone but didn’t want to hike solo.
